From (most of) the people that brought you 'Punched Slapped and Beaten' - VideoHelper is proud to announce 'Thwack' - the fifteenth disc in our library. Featuring all-percussion cuts that don't just stick to the expected percussion instruments that people have come to expect from 'production music' - and from people that didn't have severe cranial trauma at early ages. We used everything - and we mean everything - that we could get our hands on as instruments. The cuts are divided into four sections: 'Dramatic', 'Kind of Ethnic', 'Ambient/Beds' and 'What Were We Thinking'. From the jarring 'Playground Massacre' which uses an entire neighborhood swing set and jungle gym as an instrument, to 'Remain In Train' that uses kitchen utensils, pots and pans and a now-very-broken oven in our kitchen, to 'Cymbalisms' which is performed entirely on cymbals - to 'Radiowave Grooves' a cut that uses radio static, FM and AM tuning - and some bodily noises from Paul Harvey to create an unsettling piece that will not be featured on any John Tesh tribute album -- at least not while he's alive. (61 cuts)
