How many times have you watched a film and said to yourself "This music is incredible. I wish I could use it in my own projects without being sued. I also wish these damn movie seats were wider. And this is the LAST TIME I go see a film with Paul Reubens." This experimental disc (thus the '1/2' in the title) is a special addition to the library that's the direct result of our clients' requests for music appropriate for long-form work, such as documentaries, news features and animal pornography. So here's a collection of six complete scores, covering a wide variety of styles, from projects we've scored in the past five years. Each score features five to twelve cues, each from :30 to 3:00, linked by common musical figures or instrumentation (making them easily interchangeable and editable) covering the basic emotions - sadness, happiness, sleepy, dopey and Doc. From the percussion-based 'Crime Scene Photographer' to the Italian/'Cinema Paradiso' feel of 'Il Nonno Mio (My Grandfather)' to the Magnolia/Jon Brion sounding of the pop-based score of 'A Question of Morals' - all the way to the man-versus-nature-and-man-loses theme of 'Heard Island' featuring the cuts 'That's One Big Mountain' and 'I Think We Lost Larry.' (42 cuts)
